Robyn Oertel
Principal Psychologist
Robyn Oertel has extensive experience working with children and families, addressing developmental concerns (including neurodivergent children and adults), clients with significant trauma, and individuals across all age groups, including seniors, in a rural region.
Robyn trained at the University of Adelaide and completed her registration pathway through employment with the Victorian Government in the disability field.
She then worked for the Department of Education in Victoria and had a brief stint providing support to Child Protection. Robyn returned to South Australia and worked as an early childhood psychologist for the Department of Education and what was then called Community Services. She was headhunted to also work in Disability. Robyn spent her career working in Country Victoria before relocating to Country South Australia, where she continued her work in Disability, Education, and Community Services.
Robyn began her private practice and moved to Strathalbyn, another regional area, where she established Psychology for You 20 years ago.
Throughout her career, Robyn has been an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), serving on committees and, in particular, the Division of Professional Psychology (DPP) as the State representative for seven years. She has also been a member of both the SA Branch and State APS committee.
Robyn takes great pride in being a true country person throughout her career.
