Grace Ellis
Grace Ellis is a Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of experience providing counselling, case management, and psychotherapy for individuals with mental health diagnoses.
She has worked with people aged 60 and over in hospital, community, and aged care settings, as well as with adults in community settings and rural and remote acute inpatient units. Since 2013, Grace has worked in private practice with individuals across the lifespan, primarily adults to those in their 90s.
Grace feels privileged to learn about individuals’ life experiences, highlighting existing strengths. She is compassionate and forthright, supporting people to move forward from past challenges and empowering them to live rich and satisfying lives. Grace is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and holds full membership with the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists. She values ongoing learning and growth, and has received training in CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy), Self-Compassion Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, Body and Breath Work, Positive Psychology, Coaching Psychology, and other techniques, integrating them into an individualised and holistic treatment plan.
Grace has four adult children and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, swimming, and walking along the beach or in nature.
